Jason Armstead had a strong rookie season in
2004
with the
Ottawa Renegades
, seeing action as a wide receiver and returning kicks.  Armstead had 41 catches for 608 yards and added 700 yards on kickoff returns and 821 yards on punt returns including one 91 yard return for a touchdown.  In 2005, Armstead had a superb season as a pass receiver with 89 catches for 1307 yards to win both East and CFL All-Star selections.  Armstead also had over a thousand yards in kickoff returns and 699 yards on punt returns with another touchdown on a 87 yard return.
When the Renegades folded just prior to the start of the 2006 season, Armstead was selected by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the dispersal draft and reunited with QB Kerry Joseph.
This awesone piece of Ottawa & Canadian Football nostalgia have been well protected. I
